Bicycle Tube & Tire Clinci

Bicycle Tube & Tire Clinci

Managing tires and tire changes is probably the single most important repair skill. Mastering the task, or at least gaining confidence handling tubes and tires and tire levers will go a good distance toward getting a rider out on the road, and back home again.

This clinic will cover the basics of tire changes/repairs in the field. By the end of the clinic you should be able to fix a flat here, there, anywhere. All (most) types of wheels and bikes will be addressed, including how to change the dreaded back wheel with the derailleur. Tools, tires, and bikes will be provided for practice, but people are encouraged to bring their own bike to practice their hand. The course will also address the various Goat head remedies so that flat tires are hopefully, more or less, a thing of the past. For questions call Kristin Wiebe 672-3923. This class is hosted by the West Nebraska Bicycling Club. Class fee $5.
